I have to admit, I’m not a good time manager
Out of the many things I am capable of doing, I’m quite the poor time manager. I can multi-task quite well, I can do things in a short amount of time, but once I start feeling a little overwhelmed, my time management goes out the window and I start losing track of what I’m doing. I started work on Wednesday and have noticed it over the course of the end of the week. I really hadn’t noticed previously to working that my time management was a little rusty. It comes at a good time though - it’s giving me a good kick up the backside!
I’m only working part time, and only until next week. I’ll be on a break for Christmas (I’m working in a school, so summer holidays are on at the moment) and starting again sometime in January. This means my time is more or less halved, maybe even a bit more than halved due to having early nights (I’m getting up at 4am every day). So far, this has been bad news for my redesign. I’m in a spot where I can’t decide what I actually want to do with it now, whether to go ahead and code what I’ve done or do another design and then decide judging by the best of the two (although I’ve done quite a few designs). Now I’m so tired that I barely even want to look at those PSD files.
I guess the good news is, working and designing together will mean that I will be able to work on my time management skills. If anyone has any tips, feel free to share them. I’d love to hear them!
Oh yeah! I got a job! :D
Congrats! As for time management, no tips as my own time management isn’t too good. I’ve tried sticking to strict schedules but it just doesn’t go well with….well, life!
Yeah i suck at time management too.
