nyssabrowndesign

Welcome to my redesign - okay, I'm kidding. This is a temporary "interval" theme. It didn't take too long. I am still redesigning but mean while, I'm putting this up. Why? I have some other projects I need to get stuck into, which reduces my time a little. I'd also like to contemplate my redesign a bit as I'm currently unsure about its direction. To understand more and the reasons behind my interval theme, read I haven't redesigned, but stay tuned!

Xpressions Emoticon Pack

I haven’t done many updates lately, but I have been busy with a few things. One of those things would be my new emoticon (aka smilies) pack for use with WordPress. It has been a while since I’ve created my previous packs, and my style has changed, as well as my skill in tiny pixel work. Anyway, I really love the way they turned out and am now ready to share them with the WordPress community.

In the near future, I’ll also release a pack compatible with MSN Messenger (now known as Windows Live Messenger, but I just can’t seem to start calling it WLM). I’ll have to resize them slightly before I can do that (they need a height of 19px), so keep your eyes out for them.

What you need

In order to use these smilies, you will need to be using WordPress (obviously) and will need to download the Smilies Themer from Rick’s HideOut. Smilies Themer works with the latest version of WordPress.

What you need to do

Once you have downloaded Smilies Themer and activated it on your WordPress plugins, download your colour pack of choice and upload the xpressions-”colour” folder to wp-content > plugins > smilies-themer folder. Once you’ve done this, you can go to your WordPress dashboard, head to the Options page and select the Smilies Themer tab. The xpressions pack you’ve added will be listed there and you just need to activate them.

Licensing and other information

Xpressions are released under the Creative Commons Attribution - NonCommercial - ShareAlike 3.0 license (please note you can use them in your commercial projects, but you can’t make money off of these specifically - eg; by selling them).

These emoticons/smilies will always be free for download right here, but considering I spent a lot of time on their creation, I’m happy accept donations (even $1 would be appreciated).
