Quick redesign update & intended updates for PocketT
nyssajbrown.net Redesign
Just wanted to do a quick update on the upcoming redesign. It’s getting along into November now so I don’t really have that long to design and code my redesign. I did a design and scrapped it due to some problems I had with it. I started another design yesterday (or was it the day before? I’ve got a bad memory) and I’m more than happy I did. I’m still going with a lighter theme though dark has been mixed in to add some nice contrast. Anyway, it looks lovely. There isn’t any illustration in it any more, but I have made good use of my photography!
Anyway, the new design has some nice gradients and fonts, but that’s really all I’m going to give away about the design aspects of it. I also decided to put a little more focus on the blog than I originally intended, but still less than what you see now. It’s all really exciting and I can’t wait to share my new skills with everyone.
Along with my redesign, all of my pages will be undergoing make overs. Rewording of some things, new images for downloads etc and new sections. I’ll probably have the site down for at least two weeks since I have a lot of pages to go through. I also hope to update to WordPress 2.3.1 in that time, since I’m still behind at… actually, you don’t want to know! ;)
Intended updates for PocketT
Well, PocketT has done better than I originally thought it would but there are still a few things to work out (and add to it with suggestions I’ve received). I hope to get an update out sometime this week, and also start working on Dark PocketT for the dark theme fans. Be sure to keep your eye out.
Wow… you’re further behind on WordPress updates than I am!
Looking forward to the redesign, but not for the site disappearing for two weeks! Can’t you make a mirror, complete the redesign on that then just upload the theme when it’s ready?
lol Yeah, I know. I’m such a chicken when it comes to updating WordPress. I really need to update though since I’ll be developing my new theme on 2.3.1 (and it’s just time I updated).
That’s actually a pretty good idea. Think I’ll just mirror it to my computer. Some things tend to break a little bit but I guess it will be easier to fix them and a lot more convenient . :)
