I’m back in Australia, so now what?
I got back to Australia on Friday morning, after a very long and tiring trip (click image above for travel time and flight route). It’s strange being home and my trusty PC. So, right now I’m resting up and taking it a little easy as tomorrow I’m back into the swing of things, which gets me to the “so now what?” part.
Basically, I’m booked up until mid-September for freelance jobs (plus side projects of my own and others). First on my list is to complete EpharGy’s (aka Kym) redesign, which is about 80% complete - just a few things to fix, like pages etc, plus he wants a few minor jobs done to do with CSS. That’s this week booked out and busy (cause of the addition of some small illustrations I need to do).
As for other jobs, I’ll keep them “unnamed” for now until they come up and are complete.
I will be quite busy with all of this stuff, which is fine by me. The thing I love most about each design/job I do, I learn something new. The most recent is discovering I should always set a width, especially to something like #content, otherwise IE6 will play funny buggers. You will see this problem on my own site (which I need to fix up sometime), and it happened with two other designs I recently coded. It’s funny how something so simple causes such a headache. Anyone else have that happen to them? Have some flaw in their design and couldn’t figure it out, then eventually finding it was just something as simple as a width?
I guess I will leave it at that for now. Hopefully I won’t be too busy with everything to try and post more often. I would really love to add some more articles to my Design Tutorials, Photoshop Tutorials and WordPress Tips & Tricks categories.

Nyssa!!! i travelled for some weeks and now that i check my feeds i see that you have a completely new design, i must say that i adore it, i think its the best that i have seen here (and that is a lot to say since the other ones were incredibly good too). Soooo, congratulations, your work is always inspiring me to open photoshop =D
Tchüss !!!
Oh, where have you been, Faridee? :D
I’m more than happy you like the design, particular since you enjoyed the previous ones quite a bit. It’s nice knowing I can inspire someone to open up Photoshop :)
You’re certainly going to be busy alright, but you’ll do just fine. And as you have already said, with each job you’ll learn something new to add to your ever growing skills!
