Welcome to my redesign - okay, I'm kidding. This is a temporary "interval" theme. It didn't take too long. I am still redesigning but mean while, I'm putting this up. Why? I have some other projects I need to get stuck into, which reduces my time a little. I'd also like to contemplate my redesign a bit as I'm currently unsure about its direction. To understand more and the reasons behind my interval theme, read I haven't redesigned, but stay tuned!

WordPress Theme: Simple In Pink 0.2

Simple In Pink theme optionsLast night, and today, I’ve been working on getting Simple In Pink up to a better standard. I decided to use planetOzh’s WordPress Theme Toolkit to add some theme options. Simple In Pink has an “About” box on the front page. Originally, you had to dive into the index.php template and edit it there. The same applied to author highlighting, you had to dive into comments.php to add the author email address.

No more. In version 0.2, there are options for the about section, so anyone that downloads Simple In Pink will now be able to write an overview about themselves or their blog. They can also add a link via the options to their about page, so the “read more” link will link directly to their about page.

Also added, was an email address input for author highlighting, and a yes or no option for Ultimate Tag Warrior tags to display at the end of posts.

This has added a whole lot of ease into the theme for those that aren’t as savvy with HTML or PHP (mind you, I’m not great with PHP myself and needed to do a bit of research to get things to work right! ;)). Version 0.2 is just one update. There will be more to come, but more can be found on the Simple In Pink download page.

I’ll also, hopefully, have a new theme in development, something (definitely) more bloggish looking (and not a release of something old).
